All of our instructors use the teaching methods of the renowned Japanese pedagog, Shinichi Suzuki. Some of those features include parent involvement at the lessons and home practice, a loving environment, and constant repetition. We encourage you to learn more about the Suzuki Method on our Resource page.
We would also like to get to know you (and for you to know us!) before committing to lessons. If you are interested in enrolling in our program, here is our three step process:
1. Attend a Parent Info Session. Our next Info Session will be on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, 7-8pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin. Please RSVP by sending an email to Andra Prewett at email@example.com. You may also call 615-567-3723 during office hours (M-F, 9am-1pm). NEXT PARENT INFO SESSION: Tuesday, August 8th, 7-8pm.
2. Observe a lesson. Once you have attended the info session, we will schedule a time for you to observe a lesson of a student of similar age. This is a great way to see what to expect during lessons with your child before you enroll.
3. Schedule your lesson with one of our instructors. We will have you fill out an availability form and match you with an instructor with the same availability.
Each student will receive two weekly lessons: One group class and one private lesson. We currently offer classes for Violin, Viola, Guitar, and Early Childhood Music. Our calendar is divided into two 16-week semesters: Fall & Spring; and one Summer term. You may enroll at any time during the year.
The registration fee and tuition are due at the beginning of each semester. The registration fee for the Fall 2017 semester is $55 per student, or $75 per family, plus an additional $25 for MTSA membership (Violins & Violas only). Tuition includes 16 weeks of private lessons and 16 repertoire group classes. Tuition fees vary by class length:
-20 minute private lesson: $512.00
-45 minute private lesson: $720.00
-30 minute private lesson: $608.00
-1 hour private lesson: $960.00
